Sacred and Ancient Art of Self-Hypnosis aka “autosuggestion”

A series of four once-a-month hybrid live/zoom presentations

The practice of entering into an altered brain wave state by will, for the purposes of inspiration, creativity, guidance, and problem solving has been around for thousands of years. Although the word and concept of “hypnosis” are relatively new, artists, prophets, shamans, sorcerers, and oracular consultants have used various methods to induce self hypnosis throughout history.

In these four sessions, participants will learn simple techniques to enter trance and some basic practices for how to utilize these state.

I. February 5th: What is hypnosis and how do you get into a hypnotic state on your own?

An overview, with brief historical perspective, and then a step-by-step guide to cultivate a regular practice.

II. February 12th:Basic self-regulation of body/mind/spirit while in trance

After practicing and developing some confidence in the ability to enter trance at will, we will explore how to talk to body parts, as well as regulate emotions.

III. February 19th:Visualizations and Guided Imagery - making a recording for yourself

The art of “seeing with the mind’s eye” will be shared. How to begin and build an ability to visualize and use guided imagery

IV. February 26th: Futureshaping - how to use trance to artfully create your future

Participants will learn the beginning of more advanced programming of the unconscious mind. How to “dream yourself into existence”.
