Ceremonial Ketamine Weekend Retreat

from $1,600.00

What makes a medicine sacred?

Is it that it is derived from the earth, a plant, or fungi? Or does it come from an ancient wisdom tradition? We believe a medicine practice's sacredness is based on the intention for healing, community, and container created around a medicine.

We invite you to join us for a community-centered retreat using a very safe, scientifically-grounded, modern sacred medicine; ketamine. Please join us from Friday, Nov 1st to Sunday, Nov 3rd for a unique experience where science and co-created community rituals meet.

This retreat includes two ketamine experiences, one administered by sublingual lozenge and one by intramuscular injection, held in a sacred container with medical oversight and guidance. This non-denominational and non-appropriative retreat encourages participants to bring offerings from their own wisdom traditions and create a sacred space grounded in shared values, experience, and respect for each other.

In addition to two ketamine experiences, this overnight retreat will include group altar building, nature encounters, live sound healing, integration and processing circles, mindful movement, and co-created ritual. Both participants will have an opportunity to offer songs, stories, and practices from their backgrounds. Nutritious food will be offered throughout the retreat as well as access to nature, sauna, and extensive personal attention from our staff.

Facilitators

This retreat will be facilitated by Matthias Von Reusner, M.D. (he/him) and Stefanie Frank (she/her), LCSW (they/them). Our retreat facilitators have training from diverse wisdom traditions, Western therapeutic training, as well as medical expertise in ketamine and psychedelic medicine.

Matthias von Reusner

Matthias is a board-certified Family Physician. He has had an active private practice in the Mid-Hudson Valley for nearly 25 years. He began working with plant medicines in the Peruvian Amazon and realized that medical treatment from the outside does not provide healing from the inside. In 2019 Matthias trained in Ketamine-assisted therapy at the Ketamine Training Center with Phil Wolfson. Matthias found Ketamine to be a powerful tool for clients to realize and connect with their healing potential.

He began the KAT program at the Woodstock Therapy Center in 2020. He has co-facilitated multiple Ketamine retreats at the Menla Retreat Center and is captured by the beauty of the group dynamic. He believes combining Ketamine with a supportive environment of like-minded spirits creates a community of loving support and connection that lasts beyond the experience and integrates the healing process. To further his path, Matthias has been training in Hypnosis Therapy, Sounds Healing with Sage Academy, and Shamanic Energy Medicine with the Four Winds School of Energy Medicine and Healing. He completed a 200h Yoga teacher training and has participated in Grof Holotropic Breathing retreats and works with Internal Family Systems.
