Come and enjoy the sacred sounds of instruments from around the world such as lute, Peruvian flutes, Sabian bells, tamboura, guitar, n’goni, Rav, tar, dumbek, cajon, and more!
Shamanic Sound Collective is a rotating group of musicians, all of whom have some interest/experience in the use of sound and music in various international shamanic and metaphysical applications.
Facilitators:
Peter Blum, known for his pioneering work in the field of sound healing has presented “Sounds for Healing” concerts and workshops at The National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Hypnosis Federation, The Omega Institute, The Abode of the Message, Menla Retreat Center, and numerous yoga studios throughout the U.S, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. He has studied and practiced the shamanic use of sound, using instruments from around the world.
David Budd has been playing drums most of his life. A student of Layne Redmond, he is skilled on various frame drums (tar, rik, tambourine), as well as the dumbek and cajon. He has performed with many musical groups around the Hudson Valley.
